Aug 2009 3rd place finish          Ricky Yelle grabbed the initial lead in the 20-lap Mod Lite Feature as Lowell Zehr was right there putting pressure on the leader. On lap-2 the yellow would fly as card would stack up in turn one. Front runners Tim Devendorf, Doug Williams and Justin Crisafulli were all involved and would be factors in the race.

One lap later Dave Trytek would catch a implement tire in turn one and roll onto his roof. Trytek was okay, but his car was done for the night. Lowell Zehr would grab the top spot on lap-5 to be scored the new leader. Zehr would lead till lap-10 when John Behron wrestled the lead away from Zehr. Behron would lead for only one lap as Gary Jeffries would grab a narrow lead of the race. As Jeffries and Behron ran side by side down the back straight the pair made contact slowing both cars. That left an opening for Zehr to blast back into the lead.

As the laps clicked off Doug Williams was coming through the pack to set up an exciting finish. With the white flag in the air Zehr and Williams ran side by side the whole lap setting up a photo finish as the pair went under the checkers. AMB scoring showed Williams the winner for the fifth time in 2009. Lowell Zehr, Andrew Schartner, John Behron and Justin Crisafulli rounded out the top-five.

Weedsport, New York

Cayuga County Oct. 8 2010

Andrew decided to come up from North Carolina to run at Weedsport on Friday. For a change the weather turned out nice and it was good racing conditions. The heat race turned out to be a disaster when something went wrong in the front end and the car turned into the third turn wall. Sustained major damage in the front end, our crew all worked extremely hard and fast and we completely replaced the whole right front assy. Finished it up when the cars were lining up to go out for the feature. Because of the wreck he had to start last with about 20 cars. We had no idea how the car was going to do.

Green flag flew and off they went, before they got to turn 1 there was a major wreck car flipping and cars all over the place,  with luck on his side he missed it all. Green flew again he started passing cars and the car looked pretty good. In the end he finished 7th after starting 20th. Thanks to all the people involved rebuild the car to get it back out.
